ELAC & SSC Orientation – 2026–2027 School Year

Olympic Primary Center invites parents, guardians, employees, and staff to attend our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) and School Site Council (SSC) Orientation.

What are ELAC and SSC?

ELAC – English Learner Advisory Committee
ELAC provides parents of English Learners an opportunity to learn about and provide input on programs and services that support English Learners. Parents can become involved in discussions about student needs, English language development, attendance, and recommendations related to the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).

SSC – School Site Council
SSC brings parents, teachers, school staff, and the principal together to participate in important decisions affecting our school. The council helps develop and review the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and provides oversight of certain school programs, Title I funds, and parent and family engagement requirements.

Why Should Parents Attend?

Your participation matters! Attending the orientation is an opportunity to:

Learn how ELAC and SSC support students and families.
Understand how parents can have a voice in school programs and priorities.
Learn how school plans and certain funding decisions are developed.
Find out how to become involved and participate in ELAC and/or SSC.
Work together with OPC staff to support student achievement and strengthen our school community.

We encourage all interested OPC parents, guardians, employees, and staff to attend.

Come learn, ask questions, and discover how you can become more involved at Olympic Primary Center during the 2026–2027 school year.
